Ken Lehnig is based in San Diego. He has been a songwriter, musician, singer, performer since his first band The Something Nu in 1964. Since then he performed on stages all over California as a solo act, duet with brother Rick and others, and the frontman for bands: Lehnig and Friends, Razin Jack, Lehnig, and twenty years with the Burning Sage Band. That band released three rock CDs; Singerman (produced by Ken Lehnig) , Four Directions (produced by Rick Lehnig) and Keep the Sun From Going Down (produced by Eric DeLand, Cory Wilkens and Jeff Ser). His acclaimed solo Americana album The American Music Show was released in 2014 (produced by Ken Lehnig and John Hildebrand) All CDs are available for download in the usual places.
Ken, a veteran and prolific songwriter, signed with Desert Windsong Publishing in 1970 and resigned again in 2014. He was offered a development contract in 1973 with MGM but choose not to take it. He has written the music and book for an unproduced Western Musical Silver Creek. He is currently a partner in the label American Windsong Music and a partner, with David Dodds, in publishing the music business website SongwritersMarketplace.com and is the host of Songwriter Insights Podcast broadcasted from iTunes, Miro, Slacker Radio, and Blubrry.
He has also written and published three books of weird, wonderful, and dark poetry and short stories, as well as two horror/scifi/fantasy novels available most anywhere e-books are sold.
Ken Lehnig’s anticipated new Americana Project ‘Holding a Rose’ was released in the spring of 2016.
